Memory Piecing

I created the works in Memory Piecing by scanning family photographs and then printing, cutting, and weaving them together to create new images that are at once cohesive and disorienting. During the process of altering the photographs I remembered and reflected on the ways family and life experiences formed and shaped me—and continue to as I remember and share memories.
