Ghost Ranch Series

For my final project at Ghost Ranch, I photographed trees, roots, and branches. In my final reflection, I wrote: “My portfolio ranges from delicately curving roots and tree limbs to grotesquely twisting trees and broken branches. I cannot say I prefer one type of tree over the other…. Both are beautiful…. By the end of the last week, I saw trees behind my eyelids all the time—thinking of compositions and final prints. There is so much beauty in trees, and I am glad that I had the opportunity to capture their graceful and gnarled ways.”
