Blue Girls

Conceived as a triptych, Blue Girls is a continuation of my artwork (see here and here) that contemplates the differences between my sister’s and my exterior and interior realities as kids, and the ongoing changes in our memories as we continue to reflect on them together. 

I used the mat board as part of the of the image to convey the external and internal, the togetherness and separateness. The weaving in the middle of the triptych was then created from the photos cut from the mat board frames.
